What this tool is for
Create a centered 1080 × 1080 square image for a standard Instagram feed post. The tool crops the longer side instead of stretching the subject.
How to use it
- Choose an image with the important subject near the center.
- Select Process Image.
- GuavaPix applies a centered square crop and resizes it to 1080 × 1080.
- Download the result and preview it before posting.
What happens to your image
The browser keeps the largest centered square, removes the outer part of the longer side, and renders a 1080 × 1080 result locally.
Practical uses
- Turn a landscape product photo into a square feed post.
- Create consistent square images for a carousel.
- Prepare a portrait graphic without stretching it.
- Resize a campaign image before uploading from a phone.
Square feed format
1080 × 1080 is a common 1:1 feed size. Instagram can display other ratios, but this tool intentionally creates a square. Center cropping works best when important content is not close to an edge.
Important limitations
- The output is square only.
- The crop position is centered and not manually adjustable.
- Text or faces near an edge can be cut off.
- Platform recommendations can change; preview the final post in Instagram.
